Our Leadership

Prime Quadrant’s leadership is comprised of Ian Rosmarin and Evan Cooperman. With complementary skill sets and a passionate approach to investing, Ian and Evan infuse Prime Quadrant with a set of values, skills and experience that empower clients to make better investing decisions and to achieve their wealth objectives.

Ian G. Rosmarin - Principal

Prime Quadrant was founded by Ian Rosmarin as a matter of circumstance. His success, however, is a result of providing a service where none existed. Already a successful entrepreneur, Ian “retired” from business in 1997 to focus on investing his family’s wealth. As an experienced investor, Ian felt his money would be better served by investing in a diversified portfolio of Global Alternative Investments, a strategy to which he had already been exposed. Quickly, the realization set in that if this strategy was to be pursued in earnest, Ian would have to go it alone since the access to alternative investments from both large and small Canadian providers fell consistently short of his vision.

Through the requisite research and tireless due diligence, Ian successfully invested his money in a collection of investments that have enabled growth and capital preservation. Ian’s friends, looking for similar investing strategies, began asking questions. When confronted with the possibility of helping others, and lacking a suitable answer as to why he shouldn’t, Ian agreed to take on his first clients and began creating the relationships that have made Prime Quadrant the success it is today.

Evan Cooperman - Principal

In 2003, as Prime Quadrant began expanding, Ian required a suitable match for both himself, in a new business partner, and his clientele – with whom much time and effort had already been invested. The importance of close, long-term relationships and the inherent trust associated with them, prompted Ian to seek recommendations from colleagues and friends. One such recommendation led to Evan Cooperman.

Armed with a strong financial education from University of Toronto’s, Rotman School of Business, Evan sharpened his skills with accounting firm Shimmerman Penn LLP. At Prime Quadrant Evan demonstrated formidable qualities as a financial strategist coupled with well-founded analytical capabilities.

Having co-founded and successfully managed his own company, Brandimensions, Evan commands equally potent relationship management skills. His keen understanding of an entrepreneur’s needs has served him well in dealing with Prime Quadrant’s clientele.

Together, Ian and Evan provide conflict-free investment consulting while maintaining integrity, honesty and transparency as core tenets in all their client engagements. As such, they recommend only opportunities and strategies in which they, themselves, would invest.
