Mo Lidsky is the Chief Executive Officer of Prime Quadrant and is the chair of our Executive Committee.

Prior to Prime Quadrant, Mo founded and led organizations in industries as diverse as education, auto restoration, e-commerce and microfinance.

Philanthropically, Mo is the current Chairman of CAF Canada, the Prime Quadrant Conference and the Prime Quadrant Foundation. Mo also sits on the boards of several non-profit organizations including, Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Hebrew University and Holland Bloorview Hospital.

Mo has served on numerous investment committees and had a five-year tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of Yeshiva University (Canada), where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of strategic development, recruitment and managing the Canadian endowment.

Mo has also authored or co-authored four books including, Partners in Preservation: How to Know Your Advisor Is Truly Protecting Your Wealth, The Philanthropic Mind: Surprising Discoveries from Canada’s Top Philanthropists, In Search of the Prime Quadrant: The Quest for Better Investment Decisions, and Selling Snake Oil: Investment Lessons from the World’s Greatest Frauds.

Mo holds multiple degrees, Magna Cum Laude, from Yeshiva University, and an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. His greatest distinction continues to be his extraordinary wife and five adorable children.

Andrew Doman is a Principal and Chief Operating Officer of Prime Quadrant.

Andrew is a member of our Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Andrew has spent the last 20 years in the financial industry including holding senior roles as CFO of Turtle Creek Asset Management, COO of Man Investments Canada, and COO of Abria Financial Group. Andrew also served as Deputy Chair of the Canadian arm of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA).

Andrew received his MBA from the University of Toronto in 1998 and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1994.

Outside of the office, Andrew enjoys spending time with his active and sports minded family and serves as a director and Treasurer for the Oakville Soccer Club.

Mark is a member of our Executive Committee and chairs our HR Committee.

Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Mark held the role of Co-President, Operations & Strategy and CCO for Forthlane Partners and served as the Managing Director, Head of Business Management for the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB). Prior to moving to Canada, Mark spent eight years at Morgan Stanley in New York where he held the successive roles of Head of Capital Markets Risk and then Chief Global Market and Operational Risk Officer for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Mark has also occupied CFO, CAO and COO roles for Bassini Playfair Wright LLC in New York and Sao Paolo, and Deutsche Asset Management in the US and UK.

Mark earned his BA in Economics from Yale University, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

In his spare time, Mark is occupied with a growing family, and also serves as past National President and current Board member of Hadassah Associates, a 30,000 member US-based organization committed to advancing medical care, healing and education around the world.

Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Dijana was the Chapter Manager for one of the largest Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) chapters in the world. She is an expert in organizational engagement & Board operations, curating the highest quality of executive learning and programming, as well as strategic partnerships.

Prior to YPO, Dijana served as the Customer Experience Director for one of Canada’s oldest HR providers.

Dijana holds a diploma in film and television production from the Toronto Film School and is a serial volunteer.

She enjoys running, the arts, the Toronto food scene, and above all, spending time with her young family.

Jaques Clariond is Head of Global Advisory & Senior Adviser at Prime Quadrant. He serves as a trusted adviser to US family office clients in addition to providing leadership across the broader consulting and adviser teams.

Jaques has extensive experience working with family offices, most recently with his private investment office, Baudpont Asset Management, which invests across venture capital, private equity, and real estate. He has also held senior roles with Brookfield Asset Management, Vanguard, and UBS, where he developed investment solutions for family office clients across a variety of traditional and alternative investment asset classes. Jaques also serves on the Investment Committee for Blue Ivy Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on investing in disruptive businesses backed and funded by Yale University alumni.

Jaques earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Bowdoin College and an MBA in Asset Management from the School of Management at Yale University. He is a graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall, a CFA Charterholder, and a member of the CFA Society of New York. Jaques also serves as an officer of the Choate Rosemary Hall Alumni Association Executive Council where he is Chair of the 1890 Society.

Deborah Lee Chang is a Senior Consultant at Prime Quadrant. She is a seasoned investment professional with over 25 years of experience managing investments for both institutional and private clients.

Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Deborah was Lead Portfolio Manager in Institutional (Mutual and Pension) funds and strategies following a Value mandate at TD Asset Management.  Deborah started her career in Equity Research at Jones Heward Investment Management (now part of the Bank of Montreal) before becoming Portfolio Manager, Canadian Equities.

Deborah has a long-standing relationship with CFA Society Toronto having served as its President (Chair) of its Board of Directors as well as Chair of its Governance and Membership Committees.  She founded the Mentorship program, which won the CFA Institute’s Award for Innovation.  Most recently, she was an Adjunct Lecturer for the Master of Finance program at the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University.

A graduate of the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, Deborah is a CFA charterholder and has experience as a registered Commodity Trading Manager (CTM).  

An avid traveler, she is a member of the Travelers’ Century club and enjoys scuba diving with her family.   When not in the office or travelling, Deborah enjoys fencing with either a “shinai” (Kendo) or an epee.

Colin Deeks is a Senior Consultant at Prime Quadrant where he provides investment consulting services and works with families to meet their investment needs and objectives.  

Prior to joining, Colin was a Senior Director at a Toronto-based single family office where he oversaw all aspects of the investment process across multiple capital pools.

Colin has a diverse background in Financial Services spanning nearly 18 years, including private wealth management, corporate development, transaction services and capital allocation throughout Europe and North America. Colin has an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM¼) with the Canadian Securities Institute.

Colin is active community member outside of work and coaches hockey, soccer and baseball for his two young boys.  He is a member of the Leadership Advisory Development Council (LDAC) at Capitalize for Kids and previously served as Treasurer for his children’s school and as a Director of Rosedale Golf Club.

Wayne Edelist is a Senior Consultant at Prime Quadrant. He brings to his clients the experience and investing knowledge earned during an international career in finance, spanning 25 years and counting.

Starting in Toronto with RBC Dominion Securities, moving on to become a seasoned professional over 9 years in New York City with Goldman, Sachs & Co., he was then recruited to Hong Kong where he worked for Deutsche Bank, Citigroup and SociĂ©tĂ© GĂ©nĂ©rale over a 12-year stint, mainly focused on equity derivatives. Wayne has advised and serviced many sophisticated professional investors, including some of the world’s most prominent sovereign wealth, pension and hedge funds.

Wayne graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Actuarial Science and was awarded the London Life Gold Medal. Concurrently he earned his professional qualification as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). He is a CFA charterholder.

Outside of work he is the father of two teenaged boys and has been pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it has been becoming a dedicated CrossFit athlete.

Peter Friend is a Senior Consultant at Prime Quadrant and has over 30 years of portfolio management and investment research experience. His background includes actively managing portfolios of both public and alternative assets.

Previously Peter was an Investment Specialist at Sprott Private Wealth, where he reviewed investments for the firm and its advisors. Prior to Sprott he had senior roles at two single-family offices in Toronto where his responsibilities as Chief Investment Officer included direct private equity investments, alternative partnerships, public equities and hedge fund investments. Peter was Vice-President and Director at TD Capital, leading investments in subordinated loans and private equity funds. He was one of the first investment professionals of TD’s private equity fund-of-funds which grew to become Northleaf Capital. Peter’s experience with alternative investments began at OMERS pension fund where he was Senior Portfolio Manager, managing the private equity portfolio.

Peter has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Queen’s University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Peter is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto CFA Society.

Jim is the Deputy Head of Investments of Prime Quadrant.

Jim joins us with a wealth of experience gained from his 15-year tenure at CPP Investments as well as from his recent position as a Visiting Researcher at Bodhi Research Group. While at CPP Investments in Toronto and Hong Kong, Jim gained broad and diverse experience across several areas including investment research and due diligence, asset allocation, portfolio construction, financial modeling, relationship management and business planning. A notable highlight of Jim’s CPP Investments tenure was his experience building and managing a variety of global investment portfolios, and he was a key contributor to the growth of the firm’s emerging market portfolio. Jim’s investment experience spans both public and private markets.

Jim received a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Business Administration from the Ivey Business School and holds the CFA charter.

Outside of work, Jim can be found paddle boarding, cycling with his family, or attending Paw Patrol concerts with his young daughters. He has also enjoyed supporting efforts to expand life-saving stem cell donations.

Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Bill was most recently the CIO and CXO at Portfolio HiWay. He previously co-founded Patrimonica Asset Management Inc., the investment unit of a multi-family office based in Montreal where he was the President and CIO. Earlier in his career, Bill was a Vice-President, Portfolio Manager, successively at TAL Private Management Inc. and McLean Budden Ltd., providing advice and managing portfolios for wealthy families, foundations, and endowments.

Bill is a CFA charterholder and has an M.Sc. in Financial Economics from the University of London. He completed his undergraduate studies at the John Molson School of Business (JMSB), Concordia University with a BComm in Finance. Bill has been involved with JMSB as a mentor, Client Committee Member and Chair for the Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program since its inception in 2000. Over the years, Bill has also volunteered as a member or as chair of several investment committees for non-profit organizations in support of poverty alleviation and palliative care in his community.

Growing up in a family enterprise, coupled with close to 30 years in the financial services industry, Nancy understands operational and familial harmony, risk and conflict. Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Nancy worked with ultra-affluent families at BMO Private Wealth assisting families in navigating all available options across the bank and helping them plan and navigate the M&A process. Prior to working on the wealth side, she worked in capital markets and corporate finance both in New York and Toronto for JPMorgan Chase covering some of the largest energy companies in North and South America.

Nancy holds an MBA in Accounting from Saint Mary’s University and a BComm in Marketing and Management from Mount Allison University. She also holds the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designation. Aside from being busy with her husband and three ‘almost-grown’ children, Nancy is a competitive equestrian and an avid tennis player.

Angela Smith began her career as an articling student at Deloitte in Calgary. Angela worked with both the audit and tax teams throughout her twelve years with the firm, and rounded out her tenure as a Senior Tax Manager in the Private Company Services group. Angela was a trusted advisor working closely with her clients through corporate reorganizations, the implementation of strategies associated with estate and succession planning, and the completion of corporate, trust, and personal tax compliance.

Angela then transitioned into her role as the Director of Tax and Accounting at Canadian Family Futures. As a multi-family office specializing in the successful transition of wealth over generations, she worked closely with high net worth families as their Chief Financial Officer. Angela focused on reducing complexity and preserving capital to achieve the family’s financial goals. She provided proactive management and oversight of her client’s financial affairs including tax planning, cash flow management, budgeting and credit needs as well as financial education for the next generation.

Angela graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters of Professional Accounting. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and has completed levels I and II of the In Depth Tax Program.

When she’s not at the hockey rink, football field or music studio with her young family, Angela enjoys travelling and spending time in the outdoors.

Jamie has a diverse background in financial services. His 20+ year career spanning wealth management, institutional equity research, corporate finance and private market M&A provides him with a unique lens in advising families. Jamie has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. Jamie is a CFA charterholder and has completed the Canadian Securities and Exempt Market Dealer courses.

Steve began his career at Bank of Montreal in equity and corporate debt research, moved to Bank of America Merrill Lynch to become the lead Canadian financial services analyst and most recently was a Principal and Director of Research at Eight Capital. Steve has advised and serviced many of the largest investors across the global pension fund, hedge fund and long-only institutional community.

Steve graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honors Bachelor of Mathematics Degree in Actuarial Science and Economics, with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Statistics. He is a CFA charterholder.

Chris Tsoromocos is the Head of Prime Quadrant Partners and is responsible for leading direct and co-investment opportunities on behalf of Prime Quadrant clients as well as working with families as a trusted consultant.

Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Chris held various leadership and executive advisory roles with well-established Vancouver-based family offices where he was primarily responsible for leading investments in private equity, real estate, alternative investments, and public equities. Chris was also a partner in a Canada-based private equity fund focused on both private and public debt and equity investments. Chris previously worked as an investment banker at Citigroup and CIBC Capital Markets in the UK and Canada, where he was involved in M&A and debt and equity offerings.

Chris has a well-established background in direct investing and advisory services. His 20+ year career spanning direct investing, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and executive leadership provides him a comprehensive view when advising families. Chris has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with honours from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Commerce from the Sauder School of Business. Chris is also a CPA.  

In his spare time, Chris is busy with his spouse Rachel raising two young children and enjoys traveling with his family. Chris is also a board member and Treasurer of the CKNW Kids Fund and a Trustee and Head of the Investment Committee for the St. George’s School Foundation.

Terry Vaughan is a Principal and Managing Consultant at Prime Quadrant. He has over 20 years of experience in investment counselling, portfolio management, equity research, project finance and engineering.

Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Terry was an Investment Counselor at WaterStreet Family Offices. He started his investment management career at Toron Capital Markets (now part of the Cidel Group) where he was a Partner and Head of Equity Research. He then co-headed the investment team and headed portfolio management for UBS’ Wealth Management business in Canada (UBS Investment Management Canada Inc.).

Terry is a member of CFA Institute as well as CFA Society Toronto where he has been an active volunteer – most recently as Chair of the Society’s Private Client Committee. He has also taught candidates preparing to write their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.

Terry has a degree in Engineering from McMaster University, is a Professional Engineer (Ontario), has an MBA from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder. Prior to this role, Alexandra worked on Prime Quadrant's Client Service team, responsible for trade execution, account opening, and KYC. Alexandra also has five years of experience in client-facing roles at Ford and BMW.

Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Management & Organizational Studies from Western University. She is bilingual and studied at the University of Lausanne while living in Switzerland. Alexandra has completed the Exempt Market Proficiency course and is a CFA candidate.

In her spare time, Alexandra enjoys playing piano, reading, snowboarding, and traveling.

Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Sofia was a Senior Client Management and Operations Associate at State Street Bank. She was responsible for the day-to-day servicing of client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and requests. She also acted as a liaison between all internal teams to effectively meet client demands. Additionally, she proactively monitored the settlement of OTC and market trades to ensure timely execution.

Sofia graduated with a BBA with a specialization in Finance from the University of Toronto.

Prior, Davee was President & CEO of Hahn Investment Stewards & Company Inc. (acquired by Industrial Alliance in 2012). Davee started her career in financial services at Richardson Securities, subsequently served as an officer, director and shareholder of Yorkton Securities, then co-founded Allied Canadian Development Corporation in 1988, a diversified real estate corporation that engages in the acquisition and development of commercial properties in Canada – Allied Properties REIT (TSX:AP.UN). Prior to Hahn, she was Vice Chair of Abria Financial Group, a firm recognized as a leader in the alternative investment business in Canada.

Davee has served on the Education Committee and as an instructor for the Canadian Securities Institute, the Sales Practices Committee of the Canadian Chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and is frequently cited for her education-based approach in the investment community.

Davee currently serves as a Director of the Prime Quadrant Foundation and on the Investment Committee for the Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She was a former co-Chair and member of the board of Shalom Village – a Long Term Care Organization affiliated with McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences, and was actively involved in the $3 million capital campaign for Rose Cherry’s Home – now the Darling Home for Kids.

As Chief Brand and Marketing Officer Bill led the marketing & brand strategy for Tim Hortons for almost 25 years – January 1990/August 2014 – and played a key role in developing the brand to its iconic status in the Canadian market. He was responsible for the overall strategic brand planning and execution of the chain marketing programs; including national brand advertising, regional/local marketing, sponsorships and consumer research. In addition Bill was responsible for menu/product research and development, quality control, corporate communications, and corporate social responsibility.

In 1997, Bill was chosen as Marketer of the Year by Marketing Magazine. In 2005, US based Advertising Age selected Bill as one of the Top 10 Marketers World-wide; and in 2010 Strategy Magazine chose Tim Hortons as Brand of the Decade. In 2014 the Association of Canadian Advertisers selected Bill as its Gold Medal recipient.

In 2012 Bill was a recipient of The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Prior to joining Tim Hortons, Bill gained extensive sales and marketing management experience with K-Tel, Shell Oil and Labatt Breweries.

In addition to his role as CMO, Bill was also President of the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation from 2008 to 2015.

Ian has a distinguished track record as an entrepreneur having successfully established, purchased, run and sold several businesses. He was a senior officer at Henry Schein, the world’s largest company serving in-office health-care practitioners, where he established Henry Schein Financial Services and was responsible for the practice management software division, which serves more than 50,000 professional health-care practices in the United States.

Besides serving on several corporate boards and the board of an Alberta-based chartered trust company, Ian is actively involved with a number of charitable organizations, and serves as the chair of CFHU’s investment committee.
